Matt has over 17 years of bridge and highway design experience and 15 years of bridge inspection experience. As Director of Engineering, he oversees all design projects performed in our Ligonier office. He is responsible for direct management of our Project Managers and design staff, as well as overall project scheduling and staffing coordination. He is also intimately involved with corporate administrative, marketing, and long range planning efforts. Matt is also serving as Project Manager on several of MEG’s active projects, and he will continue to be actively involved in project management on selected projects.

Matt is a registered Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania, and is a Certified Bridge Safety Inspector. He has managed or provided design expertise on many PennDOT, Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, municipal and private development projects. His experience, versatility, and commitment to successful project delivery will serve him well in his new position.

Matt earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Technology from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown in 1993. He is a member of the American Society of Highway Engineers (Past President – Mid-Allegheny), and the Association for Bridge Construction and Design. He resides in Johnstown, PA where he and his wife, Christine, are raising two children. He is serves as Secretary of the Conemaugh Township Youth Football League in which both his son and daughter are participating athletes.
