
The Markosky Engineering Group, Inc. (MEG) was incorporated in 1999 by Joyce V. Markosky, P.E., and Mark A. Markosky, P.E. We provide transportation design and inspection services to PennDOT and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, including roadway and bridge design, NBIS bridge inspection, and transportation construction inspection. We pride ourselves on effective communications, efficiency and high quality service. Our motto is "Expect Excellence" and our primary goal is to provide our clients with a quality product delivered on time and within budget.
In our first 10 years, MEG has grown in both size and capability in response to demand. We have established lasting partnerships with our clients by consistently providing high quality professional services while honoring our schedule and budget commitments. We have provided subconsultant engineering and/or inspection services in Districts 1-0, 2-0, 3-0, 5-0, 8-0, 9-0, 10-0, 11-0, and 12-0. In addition to the subconsulting services we have provided, we have also successfully completed projects in Districts 9-0, 11-0, and 12-0 as a prime consultant.
Our headquarters is located in Ligonier, PA with a branch office in Greensburg, PA.. Mr. Matthew Walerysiak, P.E. is the Director of Engineering for the Ligonier location and Mr. Joseph R. Dietrick, P.E., P.L.S. is our Director of Engineering for the Greensburg location. Overall, MEG employs 28 full-time engineers, designers, technicians, inspectors and administrative professionals, including 10 licensed Professional Engineers. Five of our staff members are also Certified Bridge Safety Inspectors. With our versatile staff, MEG can contribute valuable expertise on virtually any roadway or bridge design project.
In addition to highway and bridge design, we also have experience in airport design, site design, municipal design, and mechanical/electrical (building systems) design. We also have a graphic artist on staff to assist with our public involvement efforts.
We are certified by the Pennsylvania Unified Certification Program (PAUCP) as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise, and we are a PennDOT ECMS Registered Business Partner.
