Joseph R Dietrick graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. Since leaving the University of Pittsburgh, he has worked for several consulting firms as well as serving, for 11 years, as the Director of Engineering for the Municipality of Murrysville. He is licensed as a Professional Engineer and Professional Land Surveyor in the state of Pennsylvania. Mr. Dietrick's broad engineering background makes him uniquely qualified to head up The Markosky Engineering's Greensburg office. As Director of Engineering for the Greensburg office, he oversees all design projects and is responsible for the overall project scheduling and staffing coordination. Mr Dietrick's experience involves public and private work. As Director of Engineering for the Municipality of Murrysville he was the project manager for the design and construction of the Murrysville Municipal building and the Murrysville Public Works facility. He was responsible for the design and administration of the municipal road program that had an annual budget exceeding $1,000,000. He has been the project manager and lead engineer for various other projects involving highway and bridge design, hydraulic and hydraulic studies, stream enclosures, erosion and sedimentation control plans, bridge inspections and construction inspections. He has also been responsible for the preparation and review of construction drawings, construction specifications, engineering reports and engineering studies necessary for the design and development of commercial site plans and residential subdivisions. He has prepared Stormwater Management Plans, applications for Joint Permits, General Permits, Planning Modules and Highway Occupancy Permits, project proposals and cost estimates. Mr Dietrick has gained a high degree of proficiency in the field of stormwater management. In his position with the Municipality of Murrysville, he was responsible for the review and approval of many stormwater management reports and plans. As a consultant working for private clients, he has designed many stormwater management plans for commercial and residential developments. He has written several articles and had the opportunity to speak to a diverse group of audiences on the subject. He is up-to-date on the Best Management Practices (BMPs) and NPDES requirements. In the field of surveying, Mr. Dietrick's experience includes the preparation of ALTA/ASCM Land Title Surveys, boundary retracement surveys, topographical surveys, construction stake-outs, right-of-way plants, plot plans and records research. Mr. Dietrick is an active member of Pennsylvania Society of Land Surveyors, American Society of Highway Engineers, Westmoreland Conservation District Stormwater Advisory Committee, Latrobe Industrial Development Authority and is an Associate Director with the Westmoreland Conservation District. |
